Sandra W. "Sandy" Horton, age 67, of Greenwood passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 with her family at her side. Sandy was born March 8, 1948 in Indianapolis to Harry Floyd and Geraldine (Havely) Williams. She was a Purchasing Agent for Ameritech for many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and she was fond of doing crafts, shopping, home decorating and assisting the elderly. She was a great friend to many and she will be missed by all who know and love her.

Sandy married Thomas Horton in 1972 in Indianapolis and he survives her along with her son, Thomas (Lesley) Horton, Jr. of Bargersville; daughter, Jana Smith, of Greenwood; father, Harry Williams; brothers, Harry (Doris) Williams, Jr., of Indianapolis, Mike (Pam) Williams of Indianapolis, Pat Williams of Nevada, and Robert White, of Greenwood; sister, Peggy (Tom) Warner, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Bailey, Cayden and Bentley Horton and Kaleb Smith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
