Sara M. Nardina, 92 of Indianapolis passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 . She was born to the late Kaylor and Mary Savona in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Sara worked as an aide at Southport Elementary School and as a clerk for the Southport Branch of the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library.

She loved her family and having them gathered together was her greatest joy.  She loved crafting with friends, cooking, baking, reading and making chocolate candies. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years Charles Nardina; four children Ron Blackgrave, Debbie (Brian) Santerre, Lisa (Jeff)  Smeltzer and Shawn (Gary) Altman; six grandchildren; Sean (Emily) Santerre, Cristin (Al) Arlequin, Jordan (Peter) Hanscom, Caleb (Devan) Santerre-Diaz, Charlie Altman, Danny Altman, three great grandchildren, Khloe Santerre, Camden Hanscom, Miles Hanscom and a sister Mary Auberle. She was preceded in death by Great Grandson Keegan McClain.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 22 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 23. at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church.  Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
