Sara C. Rexroat, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away September 15, 2013. The daughter of William Sweeney and Lorene Dowdy Sweeney, Sara was born February 18, 1935 in Cannelton, Indiana.

Sara was a retired medical insurance billing clerk with Dr. Hilz. She enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

Sara is survived by husband, Ronald C. Rexroat of Indianapolis; son, Scott (Teri) Rexroat of Fishers; daughter, Rhonda (William) Feely of Indianapolis; brother, Charles W. Sweeney of Tell City; sister, Elizabeth Jo Long of Brownwood, Texas; and grandchildren, Kai and Ania Rexroat of Fishers. Besides her parents, Sara was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sweeney and two sisters, Marcella Yaggi and Ida Mae Hafele.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. September 19, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. September 18, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
