Shari Handy (Black), 77, of Greenwood, IN passed away Sunday January 16, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 20, 1944 in San Francisco, CA.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents George Thomas Black & Lois Black (Ganiard) and stepmother Maxine Black. Brother Brian Black also preceded her.

Survived by her husband Morris (Moe) Handy, brother Greg Black living in Lockhart, TX and sister Melanie Huey living in Terre Haute, IN.

Shari retired from US Airways after 39 years. During her time there she met the love of her life Moe Handy and they enjoyed 53 years together.

Shari was a longtime member of Whiteland Church of Christ and was known by the children of her church family as the "Candy Lady". She could always find a piece of candy in her pocket to give them. She enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her church family.
Shari enjoyed sewing and many hours were spent with friends as they made baby blankets, pillowcases, tote bags, etc, and crocheting newborn caps for local hospitals.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Whiteland Church of Christ at a future date.
