Julia Sharon Latimer

Julia Sharon Latimer, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. She was born on August 1, 1941, and lived a life marked by dedication to her family, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for the people around her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Latimer, and her parents, Joseph Short and Mary Short. Brothers, Wayne Short and Gerald Short. Sisters, Mary Jo Hasselvander, Norma Lou Hardison, and Jean Thompson.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Garrett. Daughters: Sharon Hays and Susan Vaughn; her son, Chris Vaughn; and her cherished grandchildren: Brent Hays, Tracy Lucio, Amanda Cazares, Curtis Vaughn, Dustin Vaughn, and Heather Bouillon. Great Grandchildren: Tyler Hays, Rudy Lucio, Vincent Bouillon. Great Great Granddaughter: Henley Hays
In 1968, Sharon and her husband Don started their own mobile home business together. Through determination and hard work, they built it into a a successful venture. After Don's passing, Sharon continued running the business on her own, demonstrating remarkable strength, leadership, and business acumen. She was widely respected as a hardworking and capable businesswoman.
Outside of work, Sharon loved bowling and was known to be a very talented bowler. It was an activity that brought her great enjoyment throughout the years.
Sharon will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she had for her family. She was loved and adored by many, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
