Sherry Gordon, Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of October 17, 2022. She was 71 years old. Sherry was born in Indianapolis to her parents Robert and Winnie Gordon. She graduated from Greenwood High School and attended Indiana State University, where she joined the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and later graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine.
Sherry worked as an administrative worker for both community hospitals and IU Health and retired in 2019 after many years of service. Sherry enjoyed volunteering at Indy Feral and had many of her own furry feline friends. She was an avid reader of mystery and historical fiction books as well as the occasional Daniel Steele novel. Her sarcastic humor will be dearly missed by those who loved her the most.
Sherry is survived by her nieces and nephews, Monte (Stephanie) Meier, Gordon (Celine) Meier, Richard Gordon, and Chelsea (Nick) Kreuzman; her great nieces, Emily Meier and Sophie Meier; her siblings, Bob (Jamie) Gordon and Debbie (Richard) Hilfiker.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Sherry's honor be made to Indy Feral.
