Mrs. Shirley Ann Burdine, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Sunday, April 18, 2021 after a lengthy illness. She was born June 15, 1947 in Gibson County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Orville Estle and Mildred Maxine (Mounts) Curl.

Shirley attended Ben Davis High School and had worked for various employers over the years, but took the most pride in being a homemaker, caring for her husband and children. In her leisure time Shirley enjoyed crocheting, fishing and camping. She especially enjoyed shopping and raising and cultivating her flowers and plants. Her grandchildren were her joy and she loved them and her family dearly.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Burdine; her children, Tammy (Tom) Vernier and Eric Curl; her grandchildren, Jacob (fiance: Devan Riley) Davis and Alyssa Davis; her siblings, Martha Newsum, Larry (Carol) Curl and Richard (Debbie) Curl as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her son, Kevin Burdine; her granddaughter, Emily Davis and her brother, Junior Ray Curl.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Rev. Terry Englert officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
