Shirley J. Walker, age 77, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Greenwood Meadows. Shirley was born March 31, 1936 in Indianapolis to Paul J. and Bernice E. (Staley) Jarrett. She was a graduate of Southport High School and worked as a Medical Assistant in Chiropractics for a number of years. She married John L. Walker on June 25, 1955 and enjoyed each other for 58 years of wedded bliss. Shirley also enjoyed crafting, camping and Bingo. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she will be very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Debbie (Hawk) Roberts of Martinsville, Vicki (Howard) Roberts of Indianapolis, Lori (Jim) Pangallo of Greenwood and Peggy (Mike) Francis of Greenwood; brother, Vernon (Brenda) Jarrett of New Whiteland; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great grandchild who is soon to arrive. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Jarrett.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mended Little Hearts of KC, c/o Emily Falkenrath, 16527 S.
