Sibbie Velda Finley Hoots, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away January 6, 2013. The daughter of Walter C. and Lula Coop Finley, was born April 25, 1933 in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

Sibbie worked in retail management for Sears & Roebuck. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Trafalgar and former member of River Avenue Baptist Church, MIBOR and Brown County Senior Citizens Center.

Services 1:00 p.m. January 11, 2013 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. January 10, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

Sibbie is survived by her husband, James R. Hoots, whom she married on September 10, 1951; sons, Dwight, Randall, Joel (Mary) and Brian Hoots; daughters, Marcia (Lester) Woolslayer and Jennifer Windisch; sister, Bessie (James) Smith; grandchildren, Jason Griffin, Justin, Tara and Daniel Woolslayer, Donna, Teresa, Kristin and Erica Hoots, Andrew and Beth Inwood Windisch and Linday Martin; great grandchildren, Destiny, Nathaniel and Jacob Woolslayer, Faith McGulghlin, Christian and Caleb Rowe, Abigail Back, Mallory, Amber and Kalyb Hoots.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association.
