Stanford Guy Wilson, age 64, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 with his loving family at his side. He was born November 5, 1947 in Indianapolis to Charles T. and Leona F. (Sills) Wilson. He graduated from Southport High School with the Class of 1965. Stanford was a U.S.Army veteran who served his country from 1969 to 1971. He retired as a Journeyman Sheet metal Worker with Local #20. Stanford loved to golf and fish whenever possible.
He married the former Debi Jo Young on December 31, 1969 in Indianapolis and she survives along with his father, Charles; son, Stan E. Wilson; daughters, Jackie (Kenny) Sandefur, Lori Chamberlin, Tami (Jim) Chanley, and Kristi (Barry) Camden; grandchildren, Eric Sandefur, Alec, Savannah and Claire Chamberlin, Brandon, Kimberly "Babygirl" Camden and Josi Chanley; brother, Charlie Wilson; sisters, Kathy Dicus and Vicki Adams. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and by Dawn Latty and family.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 at 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with visitation from 12:30 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
