Stephen Joe Hutzel, 71 of Indianapolis passed away on December 19, 2018. Stephen was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 16, 1947 to Edward and Martha Hutzel. Stephen will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor, for his diligent work ethic and his HUGE heart, he was not afraid to show emotion. Earlier in his life he owned a motorcycle and enjoyed riding, he especially enjoyed his long rides taking "the scenic route". Stephen enjoyed western movies and action movies. He loved to play cards, especially euchre. Stephen was very sociable and enjoyed his "Coffee-Clatch" with friends. Stephen was devoted to his children, his wife and was completely enthralled with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents and brother Eddie. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Jean Hutzel; children, Stephen S. (Patti) Hutzel, Michael (Jessica) Taylor, Rhonda (Mark) McLaughlin and Dawn (Alex) Ennis; grandchildren, Andrew Taylor, Kristen Taylor, Isabella Ennis, Eli Ennis, Ever McLaughlin, Ben Ewing and Harper McLaughlin; great granddaughter, Olivia Maxey. The family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
