Obituary

Mr. Stephen Lee Johnson, Greenfield, passed away on the early morning of Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was 67. Steve was born August 31, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Ethus E. and Margaret (Sanders) Johnson.

Steve attended Center Grove High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1972. He had been employed at Eli Lilly and Company in both security and at the power house and retired in 2005 after 33 years of service.

Steve was a hard working man and was literally a jack-of-all-trades and could fix or repair most anything. He also enjoyed spending time taking care of his home and property and was always willing to help others. He was a great story teller and never knew a stranger. Steve also looked forward to taking camping trips with his family and had visited parks and campgrounds all over the country.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Beth (Murray) Johnson; his only son, Rob (Jenny) Johnson; his grandchildren, Kelsey Johnson and Owen Johnson as well as his siblings, Bob (Martha) Johnson, Sandy (Bill) Beers and Chris (Adam) Wise along with several nieces and nephews.
