Stephen "Stevie" Clark Moots, 65, passed away September 15, 2015 at his Indianapolis residence. The son of Otis C. and Lorene (Kiddoo) Moots, Stevie was born in Jackson County, Missouri.

After 17 years of service, he retired in 2010 as an instrument technician from Eli Lilly and Company. Stevie was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Aquarium Club (raising fresh water fish). He raced stock cars at the Indianapolis Speedrome and volunteered at Garfield Park in the conservatory. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of NASCAR, following the racing careers of Dale Earnhart, Sr. and Dale Earnhart, Jr.

Stevie is survived by his wife, Sharron K. (McKim) Moots of Indianapolis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Candice Kirkland.

Ted Cutrell will officiate at a memorial service 7:00 p.m. September 22, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church - 8540 US 31 South with calling after 5:00 p.m.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association - 9100 Purdue Road STE 203 Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.
