Mr. Stephen Wayne Teike, of Camby, Indiana, passed away peacefully on the early morning of Friday, June 19, 2026, having attained the age of 82.

Born on April 4, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Steve was the son of the late Walter and Betty (Zufall) Teike. A lifelong resident of central Indiana, Steve attended Ben Davis High School and proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a successful career as the owner and operator of Teike Masonry, a business he faithfully led for more than forty years. Through his hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship, he earned the respect of countless customers, colleagues, and friends.

Steve enjoyed a life filled with family, friendship, and many passions. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and shared a lifelong love of Corvettes as a member of the Indianapolis Corvette Club. He found great peace and happiness at his cabin overlooking the Ohio River, where he enjoyed relaxing and taking in the beauty of nature. Boating was another favorite pastime, and he treasured every opportunity to be on the water.

Above all else, Steve was a devoted family man. He never missed an opportunity to support his children and grandchildren in their sports, school activities, and life accomplishments. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Steve is survived by his beloved life partner, Jeanette (Leonard) Teike; his children, Melissa (Mark) Whitehurst, Matt (Nikki) Teike, Kim (Scott) Pauley, Ken (Heather) Teike, and Brett (fiancée, Erin) Teike; his grandchildren, Seth, Shea, Kortney, Sierra, Andrew, T.J., Craig, and Palmer; his great-grandchildren, Zoey and Claude; his step-mother, Wanetah Teike He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Teike, Mike Teike, Dan Teike, Deborah DeVries, Juanita Revels and Barbara Zufall; and several nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in passing by his parents.

A memorial service celebrating Steve’s life will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday, July 20, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Steve’s legacy of hard work, loyalty, patriotism, and devotion to family will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
