Stephen Vollmer, 63, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on November 23, 2017. Stephen was born on October 18, 1954 to Eugene and LaVaughn (Devine) Vollmer in Indianapolis, Indiana. Stephen played semi-pro baseball in California. He was a member of The Hard Ball League in Indianapolis. He enjoyed working on his yard. Often people would say that the backyard looked like a park. Stephen enjoyed dancing and music, and was teaching himself to play the keyboard. Stephen loved his daughter, wife and family. He will be greatly missed. Stephen is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father; his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Laura A. Vollmer; daughter, Stephanie A. Vollmer; brothers, Greg (Paula) Vollmer and Doug Vollmer; sister, Karen Vollmer; cousin, Rusty Scharbrough; and a host of nieces, nephews and family. The family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Veterans Fund or The Samaritans Purse.
