Sue Ella Dodd, Camby, IN, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was 90 years old. Sue was born in New Ross, IN to her parents Ernest and Alice Haris. She graduated from Ladoga High School, class of 1952 and attended Indiana State University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in education. Sue married her husband, Charles W. Dodd, on November 6, 1967, and together they shared 24 years of marriage together.
Sue worked as a teacher for thirty years; she taught at various schools including the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. Sue was the girls' volleyball coach for Indianapolis Baptist Academy. Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mooresville with her husband for many years. She was also a member of St. Luke's Solo Singles. Sue enjoyed ballroom dancing, old movies, and taking cruises; she travelled to France, Italy and England. Sue will be remembered for her friendly personality and family-oriented nature. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Sue is survived by her children, Jeff Kenworthy and Alice (Stephen) Skinner; her 5 grandchildren; her 4 great grandchildren.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation for Sue will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00pm.
