Sue Mae Trout, Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was 90 years old. Sue was born in Bethlehem, KY to her parents Grover and Ethel Rankin. Sue married her husband, John Trout, in 1970 and they shared 48 years of marriage together until John passed away in 2022.
Sue worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and retired after many years of service. Sue enjoyed playing cards and BINGO with her friends and family. She also enjoyed completing sudoku puzzles in her free time. Sue's dry sense of humor will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Sue is survived by her step children, Wanda (Dave) Lyon, Linda Chappelle, Sandy Shunk; her grandchildren, Casey (Lisa) Boggs and Brian Boggs; her 8 step grandchildren; her great granddaughter, Amelia Boggs; her 8 step great grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Vivian Berger and Elaine Casey-Altman.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children, Linda Boggs and Larry Ellis.
A visitation for Sue will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 11:00 am.
