Susie E. "Evelyn" Rogers, age 87, a 45 year resident of Monrovia, Indiana passed away August 31, 2017. The daughter of Milton and Pearl Girdler Hall, Susie was born February 11, 1930 in Somerset, Kentucky.

A homemaker, Susie took great pleasure in cooking and canning the fruits of her labor from her garden, fruit trees and grapevines. She loved listening to county and gospel music. Susie was a member of New Life Community Wesleyan Church of Mooresville.

Susie is survived by sons, Jeffrey L. (Christina) Rogers and Charles A. (Karen) Rogers; daughters, Linda K. Blanchard and Shirley J. Wuest; brother, Loyd (Bethel) Hall; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Rogers; brothers, Edward, Harry, Delmar, Oren and George Hall; and sisters, Edith Wilson, Delena Godby, Roberta Harmon and Eula Hall.

Services 11:00 a.m. September 5, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on September 4th and from 10:00 a.m. to service time on September 5th . Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
