Sylvia Y. Baker, 74, of Indianapolis passed away July 17, 2014.
Born July 1, 1940 in Anderson, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Harles and Mamie (Phillips) Knight. Sylvia worked as a custodian for Community Hospitals and Decatur Township Schools for twenty years. She is survived by sons, Kevin and Stephen McGuire; brother, Kenneth Knight; sister, Louise (Gary) Henderson; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Lucille Crabb, and Geraldene Oakes.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN 46143 with Pastor Larry McAdams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
