IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tammy Michelle
Combs
December 9, 1960 – January 5, 2026
Tammy Michelle Combs, age 65, passed away on January 5, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1960, and lived life in a way that was unmistakably her own.
Tammy stood out in any room she entered. She carried a childlike sense of wonder into adulthood - curious, enthusiastic, and unapologetically expressive. You never quite knew what she would say or do next, and that unpredictability was part of what made her memorable. She didn't fade into the background; she claimed space and brought her full personality with her wherever she went.
Creativity was central to who Tammy was. She loved arts and crafts, coloring, and writing - especially if it involved glitter ink. Disney held a special place in her heart, as did gospel music, both reflecting her love of imagination, joy, and emotional expression.
Tammy was inclusive and eager to connect. She enjoyed visiting with people, meeting animals, playing with children, and making new friends. She was drawn to new places and new experiences, approaching them with excitement and openness. Her enthusiasm was unmistakable, and time spent with her was rarely dull or forgettable.
Tammy lived out loud. She was herself without apology, and the world felt more colorful because of it. She will be remembered as someone who embraced wonder, stood apart from the crowd, and left a lasting impression simply by being exactly who she was.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Combs-Ruth and George Combs; her brother, Timothy Combs; and her grandparents, Irene and LC Richardson, and Landis and Betty Combs.
She is survived by her brother, Todd Combs; her half-sister, Jeaney Moran; her stepsiblings, Lisa Ruth and Rob Ruth; and her stepfather, Bob Ruth.
Tammy's faith was an important part of her life. She loved gospel music and found comfort in her belief in Jesus Christ. Her family takes peace in knowing that she is now at rest and reunited with loved ones who went before her.
