Thelma S. Blakley ,84,of New Whiteland, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Community Hospital South . Mrs. Blakley was born March 19, 1924 in Burkesville, Kentucky to George and Cora Staley, who proceeded her in death. She had retired as a seamstress. Mrs. Blakley had many hobbies, which included crafts, euchre, bingo, and golf. Survivors include, a son, Steve F. (Beth) Blakley; six daughters, Ruby E. Shipman, Bonnie M. (Hubert) Adkins, Margie E. Corbin, Willie M. (Keith) Harper, Barbra Ann (Roger) Baise, Sandra K. (Howard) Key; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and eighteen great great grandchildren. Her husband, Ned Blakley, and a son, Hall Blakley, also preceded her in death. The family of Mrs. Blakley will receive friends from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday December 22, 2008. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 10 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
