Thelma Mae Stewart, Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was 88 years old. Thelma was born in Logan, WV to her parents William and Lora Dingess. Thelma married her husband, Henry Stewart, and they shared many years of marriage together until Henry passed away on May 22, 2018.
Thelma worked in assembly for Transportation Safety Devices and retired in 1999 after 25 years of service. Thelma was a practitioner of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed collecting precious moment figurines, bowling, and painting beautiful scenery oil paintings. She was a lifelong dog lover and was known to look for ways to spoil her beloved furry friends. Thelma's family will fondly remember her straight forward nature and particular sense of humor for many years to come.
Thelma is survived by her children, Lora (Tony) Shropshire and Lynn Whitaker.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry.
The family will host private services at a later date.
