Obituary

Theodore Harold Groseclose, 91, of Martinsville, died September 27, 2016. The son of William G. and Sylvia M. Baker Groseclose, Theodore was born September 22, 1925 in Morgan County, Indiana.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he retired after 30 years in 1976 as a machine operator from International Harvester. He enjoyed farming, watching westerns, going to the casinos, playing poker Survivors: son, William G. (Kathryne) Groseclose; daughters, Linda C. Martindale, Tina B. Hughey, Karen S. (Chip) Smith and Sara J. (William) Parnell, all of Martinsville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bette M. Hanson Groseclose, one granddaughter, Rebecca Smith and five sisters, Iva Nelle McCarty, Helen Pearl Brown, Bessie Ilene Leo, Dessie Katherine McCarty and Sarah Evelyn Hazel.

Funeral services 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, with military honors to conclude the services. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Private burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
