Thomas Franklin Canfield, 74, of Carmel passed away peacefully at home September 12, 2020 surrounded by his family.  He was born June 19, 1946 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Leo and Thelma (Barmes) Canfield, Sr.

Tom retired from the US Army and Army Reserves after 20 years of service.  Following his military career, he was a trucker until retirement.  He married his love, Vicky Wilkins, in 2011 and they blended their families together.  In his spare time, Tom loved to travel with Vicky.  He was a true patriot who loved his country and his family and doted over his grandchildren.  Tom didn't know a stranger, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

Tom will be fondly remembered by his wife, Vicky; children, Kim (John) Porter, Rick (Christina) Canfield, Cindy (Mike) White, Jami (Tom) Gann, and Doug (Jackie) Thomas; grandchildren, Ashley, Mercedes, Kierstin, Austin, Richard "Ace", Evan, Aly, Chloe, and Axl; great grandson, Theo; brother, Leo (Sharon) Canfield; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Canfield.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 18 from 9:00am - 11:00m at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143, with service to follow at 11:00am.
