Obituary

Beloved husband, father-figure and friend, Thomas Hart Quinlan, 69, passed away peacefully at home on May 10, 2020. Born on a Wednesday in 1951, Tom had a deep appreciation for music, his home and his family, which included two happy beagles.  One of those beagles rarely left his side.  In his younger years, Tom's musical appreciation led to his experiencing Woodstock, where he saw Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix perform.

Tom retired in 2008 from a career in property management. In retirement, Tom developed a profound interest in gardening; however, this did not detour him from his love of music.  In wanting to share his love of music with others, he taught guitar and would often play guitar to entertain friends and family.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, William and MayBeth Quinlan. Tom is survived by his wife, Stella Quinlan of Martinsville, IN; brother, Alan Quinlan of Wallington, NJ; nephew, Brian Quinlan; stepsons, James Fuquay (Liz) of Martinsville, IN and Terry Flowers (Sunshine) of Glasgow, KY; three grandchildren, Devin, Dodson, Abby Fuquay, and J.J. Fuquay; and a host of beloved extended family including two fur babies, Belle and Kip.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, Greenwood, IN, oversees arrangements.
