Thomas H. Sloan, 66, of Indianapolis passed away at home surrounded with the love of his family on October 5, 2020.  He was born September 11, 1954 in Indianapolis to Wendell and Joyce (Slayton) Sloan (of Portland, TN).

Tom was a truck driver most of his life, having worked for many different companies.  On December 13, 1975 he married the love of his life, Paula (Jones) Sloan.  Tom had several hobbies, which included camping, fishing, and hunting.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and visiting flea markets.  He was also a jack of all trades, able to fix just about anything.  Tom loved riding his motorcycle, with Paula at his side.  Above all else, Tom was a family man and loved his family fiercely, especially his four grandchildren.  Tom left this world too soon, and will be greatly missed.

Tom will be fondly remembered and missed by his wife, Paula; daughters, Jennifer (Richard) Carballal, and Stephanie (Tim) Winkle; parents, Wendell and Joyce; brother, David (Yvonne) Sloan; grandchildren, Danielle, Hailey, Nicholas, and Andrew; great grandson on the way, Nicholas II (a.k.a Great Baby Gherkin); four nephews and one niece.

Family will receive friends Friday, October 9 from 5:00 - 9:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143.  Funeral service will be Saturday, October 10 at 11:00am, also at Forest Lawn, and officiated by Pastor Jim Bricker.
