Tim Turner (age 72 of Mooresville, Indiana) passed into his Savior's loving arms on October 19, 2021.

Tim was born on December 19, 1948 on the back of an Indian motorcycle to Emory C. and Martha L. Turner of Indianapolis.  He was preceded in death by his father, Emory Turner; his mother, Martha Turner Meredith; his sister, Janet Turner; and just recently his brother, Dan Turner.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha K. (Girdley) Turner; his sister and brother-in-law, Polly and Kevin Shingleton; five nephews; and one niece.

As a teen Tim was an Explorer Scout earning his God and Country Award, attended West Newton Methodist Church, played in his high school band, and diligently worked as a carhop at Steak & Shake.   He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1967.  After high school Tim studied auto mechanics at Lincoln Tech.  He began his career at Eli Lilly and Company in 1970 and retired after 29 years of dedicated service in 1999.   Tim and Martha were married on Thanksgiving Day, 1972 and would soon have been celebrating 49 years of marriage.

Tim was a faithful member of Whiteland New Life Fellowship Church for over 20 years. He participated in many of their Christmas plays over the years, and once even narrated as the voice of God because of his low baritone.

Tim enjoyed reading (always non-fiction), TALKING (to anyone who would listen), but most of all taking photos for the Classic Car Club and the Christian Motorcycle Association.  Tim especially enjoyed spoiling his nine fur babies…such as letting them beg at the supper table, sleep on our bed, bark just to be barking, and whatever he got them to do his way.

Every night like clockwork Tim would pray for our leaders, police, and anyone he knew about with a need for prayer.  He had a huge heart for others and a love for people.

Visitation will be held at Whiteland New Life Fellowship Church, 720 E. Main Street, Whiteland, Indiana on Friday, November 5 from 11am to Noon.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at Noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
