Valour Beatrice Bricker, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Celina, OH to the late Robert and Lottie (Trissell) Steele. Valour is a graduate of Celina High School. She married her love Gene Bricker on June 1, 1951.
Valour was a very active member holding leadership positions in Center United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Vineyard Community Church where her son Jim is Senior Pastor. She enjoyed decorating, flower gardening, and walking.
Valour is survived by her loving husband Gene of 60 years; their 5 boys: Daniel Bricker (Shelley), Jim Bricker (Kristy), Ronnie Bricker (Donna), Jeff Bricker (Lynda), and Larry Bricker (Lisa); brother Vernon Steele; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. as well as on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Center United Methodist Church Outreach Program and/or Vineyard Community Church Outreach Home.
