Vera Tacy Murrell, Indianapolis, passed away on the late evening of Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Franciscan Health – Indianapolis. She was 59. Vera was born July 4, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Edwin Lee and Lola Tacy (Padgett) Murrell, Sr.

Vera attended Emmerich Manual High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1980. She had also attended ITT Technical Institute studying Computer Programming. She had been employed in accounts receivable with Rytex for nine years

Vera spent much of her spare time crocheting and crafting. She also loved Yorkie dogs and was a member of the Yorkie group on Facebook. Vera deeply loved her family and enjoyed the time they could spend together.

Vera is survived by her brothers, Ed (Carolyn) Murrell and Calvin (Shannan) Murrell; her nephews, Aaron (Jennifer) Murrell, Joseph (Michelle) Sandlin, Corey Chambers and Zachary Murrell as well as many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her brother, Francis William Murrell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
