Mrs. Vera Mae Day, 92 of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis died March 6th surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Clarence and Cleota Lucas Privette, Vera was born October 19, 1922 in Kentucky.
Vera worked as a receptionist for several insurance companies and later worked in retail sales at JCPenney's. Mrs. Day was a dedicated and long time member of the Palm Beach Lakes Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Holy Land and Hawaii.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Jacqueline (Bill) Brown, of Fishers, IN, sons, Lynn Day of Colorado Springs, CO, Eric (Nancy) Day of Palm Beach Gardens and Timothy (Maureen) Day of West Palm Beach; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter Joanne Wright; brothers Herschell Privette and Clarence Privette, Jr. and sisters, Essie B. Privette and Bernadine Privette Webb-Goode.
Funeral services 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m.
