Verna A. (Parker) Derbyshire, 94, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on February 16, 2021.  She was born July 19, 1926 in Sharonville, Ohio to the late Shell and Lydia (Day) Parker.

She is survived by her daughters, Candace Derbyshire and Penny Bolinger; grandchildren, Miranda Books, and Jordan (Elena) Harris; great grandchildren, Carolynn, Emma, Dylan, Benjamin, and Alexandra; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Derbyshire; and brothers, Frederick Parker, John Webb Parker, and Donald Paul Clark.

A private family service will be held Saturday, February 20 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
