Vickie Lynn Barton, 60, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was born on July 27, 1951 in Indianapolis to Orville H. Tapscott and the late Jeanette E. (Border) Tapscott.
Vickie worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for 25+ years prior to retiring. She loved animals, movies, music, reading, and cooking. She had a great sense of humor, loved to help others, and was very loving and caring. She loved her family to the fullest.
Vickie is survived by her father Orville Tapscott (Sonnia); daughter Jill Damron (Brad); half-brother Stephen Porter; sisters: Dana Pearson and Lori Tapscott; granddaughters: Kayden and Darby Damron; nephews: Jeff Pearson (Ada), Dustin Pearson (Molly), and Jason Trotter; great-nephews: Connor Pearson, Sean Pearson, and Evan Pearson; and beloved dog Maggie.
Vickie was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Tapscott and brother-in-law Tom Pearson.
