Vickie Johnson, Greenwood, passed away on November 11, 2022. She was 59 years old. Vickie was born in Martinsville, IN to her parents Nathan and Carolyn Raney. She graduated from Center Grove High School, Class of 1981. Vickie met her life partner Redford Earles and they shared 20 years of their lives together.
Vickie was a public servant as she worked as a Child Support Bureau Investigator for the State of Indiana and retired in 2022 after 28 years of service. Vickie practiced christianity and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always very proud of being an independent homemaker for her family. Vickie looked forward to family reunions where she would spend time with some of her favorite people. Vickie loved the fall season and drew great joy from decorating her home with fall colors. Vickie leaves behind her two beloved cats, Eugene and Stewart, two of many animals that she loved throughout her life. The memories Vickie created with her family will now be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Vickie is survived by; her daughter, Stephanie (Robert) Russell; her grandchildren, Aubrey Russell and Lindsey (Jacob) Brock; her great grandchildren, Kenleigh and Skyler; her father, Nathan Raney, her life partner, Redford Earles as well as his children, Jared Earles and Kayla (James) Froedge, and grandchildren Larry Froedge and James Rubin.
Vickie is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Raney; her step-mother, Peggye Raney; her brother, Dean Raney.
A visitation will be held on November 23, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm with a memorial service to follow at 6pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
