Vikki Starr Underwood, Greenwood, passed away on the evening of December 21, 2022. She was 68 years old. Vikki was born in 1954 to her parents, Marvin Anderson and Carol Crenshaw. She attended Manual High School and later completed her GED. Vikki married her husband, Billy Ray, on October 30, 1970 and together they shared 27 years of marriage.
Vikki worked for Herff Jones for a few years before having her two children, Kelly and Ryan. After having her children, Vikki chose to be a homemaker for her family and eventually returned back to work at Herff Jones where she gave over ten years of service. Vikki was a christian who privately practiced her spirituality during her life. Vikki enjoyed taking part in party and event planning for her family. She could often be seen working on her lawn and garden. Vikki was a creative, artistic, soul whose diligent gift wrapping and holiday decorating will be dearly missed. Vikki was a resourceful, persistent, prankster who enjoyed making her loved ones laugh every chance she could. She was a fan of both the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts, which made for some interesting football watch parties. Vikki had a Coca Cola memorabilia collection that she loved periodically adding to and always took time to have a Diet Coke for herself after a stressful day. Vikki had a talent for both cooking and baking; she was famous for her delicious home-made chocolate chip cookies. Vikki was always sure to put her children first and made it clear that she wanted them to have the absolute best. The memories created will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Vikki is survived by her children Kelly Underwood and Ryan (Laura) Underwood; her grandpuppies, Dungy, Eli, Emilio, and Kachoo; her siblings, Lana York, Kimberly Anderson, and Ramsey Anderson; her several nieces and nephews.
Vikki is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Underwood; her cookie grandma, Elsie Dell; her parents-in-law, Mary and Jean Underwood.
A visitation for Vikki will be held on Friday December 30, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on December 30, 2022 at1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
