Viola Christine "Chris" Coffman, 93, of Greenwood, passed away January 12, 2016. The daughter of Jason Eugene and Mamie Della Lynn Statom, Viola was born May 13, 1922 in Casey County, Kentucky.

A homemaker, she enjoyed quilting, wood crafting and bird watching.

Viola is survived by her daughter, Cyndi M. (Vince) Sabotin of Gastonia, NC; brother, Eugene Statom of Greenwood; sisters, Juanita Murphy, Carolyn Pruitt, Lucille Reed and Peggy Reed, all of Greenwood and Jewell Whitis of Stanford, KY; grandchildren, Christina (Lawrance) Crone and Cory Sabotin, both of Gastonia, NC and great-grandson, Jacoby Crone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest T. Coffman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
