Violet R. Hawley, 87, of Greenwood passed away on January 28, 2018. Violet was born in Beech Grove, IN on June 7, 1930 to Luther and Bertha Worthington. Violet was a very active woman. Violet was a professional seamstress; having worked for many professional settings and also for herself; making various costumes, dresses. She enjoyed bowling, making floral arrangements. Violet catered weddings and made cakes. She was a previous 4-H leader. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Violet is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Floyd E. Hawley; sons, Floyd 'Peanut' (Vickie) Hawley and Tim (Bobbi) Hawley; daughters, Linda Knight, Cindy (Dave) Garmon and Kathy Taylor; sisters, Dolores Gray and Madeline Baar; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
