Violet M. Smock, age 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013. She was born September 26, 1927 in Rockingham, NC to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baldwin. Violet was a timekeeper at RCA in Indianapolis for many years. She married Raymond E. Smock and he preceded her in death. She was a member of American Business Women''s Association and the V.F.W. Violet loved to play cards and was an avid Colts and Pacer fan.
She is survived by her daughter Georgia Moreman; four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Venuis Sims-Kelley; one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Forest lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
