Virginia R. Willsey, age 75 passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at St. Vincent''s Hospice. She was born December 6th, 1933 in rural Greencastle, IN to John R. and Ruth B. Hammond. She married Donald R. Willsey in 1956 and was a career homemaker who was involved in many civic and community activities, most notably the Indianapolis Children''s Museum Guild, where she participated for many years in the annual Haunted House event. She was also a member of the Community Church of Greenwood.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald R., one daughter, Rebecca J. Willsey, and three sons, Robert W. (Leslie) Willsey, Steven E. (Debbie) Willsey and Donald B. (Mindy) Willsey. She is also survived by 8 siblings and had 8 others who predeceased her. Ginny or Momu as she was also known had 13 grandchildren who also survive her.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 7th at 11am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8pm and Saturday from 9 to 11am. Memorial contributions should be given to the Indianapolis Children''s Museum Guild, The Eastern Star or the Community Church of Greenwood
