Virginia Lee Yeldig, 88, of Greenwood, passed away July 23, 2012. The daughter of William B. and Nellie Tiker Banks, Virginia was born December 28, 1923 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Virginia was a lab technician with Eli Lilly and Company, retiring in 1985 after 39 years of service.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Private burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Survivors: son, Gary A. Yeldig of Greenwood; grandchildren, Kelly Carpenter of Greenwood, Kristian Yeldig of Indianapolis and Karl Yeldig of New Castle; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Yeldig of Indianapolis; sisters, Hazel Hartman of Greenwood and Ada Coppler of Georgia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Yeldig and son, James R. Yeldig.
