Walter L. Parker, 78, of Floral Park, New York and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away December 5, 2012 in New York. He was born July 2, 1934 in Evansville to the late Carlton and Elsie (Tally) Parker. He married Vera Jo Duke on February 7, 1969 in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death in 1995. Walter worked as a sales representative for Texas Refinery Corp. Survivors include five sons, Anthony Parker, Skip (Cheryl) Parker, James E. Parker, Jim (Pat) Wise, and Steve Wise; three daughters, Leanne (Mike) Rickard, Gayle (Steve) Hardesty, Julie (Rob) Spencer; sister, Sharon Behrman; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Parker. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood.
