Mrs. Wanda Lee (Cobb) Eggert, Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was 73. Wanda was born May 9, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late John and Juanita (Gibbs) Cobb.
Wanda grew up on the southside and attended Emmerich Manual High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1967. She had been employed for over 30 years as a custodian for Beech Grove City Schools until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed working, shopping and traveling. She also spent some of her spare time watching soap operas and the Hallmark Channel as well as listening to music. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Jim, were sealed in the LDS temple in Chicago, June 11, 1988.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jim Eggert; her children, Michelle Liggett and Tony (Jennie) Eggert; her grandchildren, Savannah Curtis, Jeremy Bucci, Christopher Bucci, Charles Bucci, Brooklyn Callaway, Cinnamon Snyder, Anthony Eggert Jr., James Eggert and Hunter Eggert; 12 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Roxanne Gaynor, Tina Dunn, Juanita Johnson, Francis Collins, John Cobb, Bob Cobb, Grant Cobb and David Cobb.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her sisters, Janet Bless and Sharon Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 900 East Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service Monday at the church.
