Obituary

Wayne G. Brinkman went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 2, 2020.  He was born in Winona, MN to Henry S. Brinkman and Sylvia M. (Beckman) Brinkman on July 10, 1942.  He married Harriette E. (Neill) Brinkman on May 6, 1967, she survives.

Wayne served in the National Guard and was a long-time member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities - his favorite was driving the church bus.  He enjoyed sports of all kinds and he was an avid Indianapolis Indians fan.  He traveled across the United States to see them play and was many times able to do this on his Goldwing motorcycle.  He and Harriette have always had a special love for cats and have provided a loving home to several feline friends over the years.  Wayne also love playing cards – especially poker, cribbage and euchre – and he lovex visiting local casinos.  He retired from Arvins and also worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and drove a school bus for Perry Township schools.

In addition to his loving wife, Harriette, Wayne is also survived by two brothers William W. Brinkman of Eau Claire, WI and Richard E. Brinkman of North Vernon, IN and two sisters Carol (Ray) Carpenter of Greenwood, IN and Susan S. (Paul) Dicken of Robertsdale, AL as well as many, many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, brothers George H. Brinkman, Jerome F. (Pauline) Brinkman, nephew Frank Brinkman and sisters-in-law Donna Brinkman and Adele Brinkman.

He was a wonderful man who had a lasting impact on this world and we are all forever grateful to have had him in our lives.
