Wayne Keith Jackson Sr., 75, of Avon, IN passed away unexpectedly July 15, 2017. He was born February 1, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to Marquis and Dora (King) Jackson.

Wayne retired from the Indianapolis Newspapers (Gannett).

He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Keith Jackson Jr. and brothers, Gary Jackson, Dave Jackson and Jay Jackson.

Wayne is survived by his daughters, Dorene (David) Philpot, of Galveston, TX, Diane Mary Archer of Avon, IN, and Dawn (Greg) Cooper of Mooresville, IN; sisters, Gale Jackson, Lana (Sammy) Stanley, Lori Jackson and Kristy Winner; 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Kristen, Katelyn, Kelsey, Kara, Kevin, Emma and Luke; 1 great granddaughter, Peyton and his beloved companion, Sandy Meier.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 10:00 am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
