Wesley Richard Andrews, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his residence. Wesley was born on March 2, 1921 in Lafayette, TN to the late Jesse James and Martha Belle (Brooks) Andrews. He married his love Sarah Angeline Draper on June 9, 1945.
Wesley was a hard-working man who could always be found working. He worked as a carpenter for many years. He loved to flower and vegetable garden as well as fish. He was also a musician in his younger years.
Wesley is survived by his loving children: James Radford Andrews (wife, Mary) and Bonnie Shuffitt (husband, Frank); 5 grandchildren: Kimberley George, Kelly Hamlin, James B. Andrews, Eric Krick, and Shane Shuffitt; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother James L. Andrews (wife, Pat); several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Lady.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sarah of 52 years; and siblings.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral will be on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home with entombment following in the Ben Franklin Mausoleum.
