Wesley I. Taylor, 89, Indianapolis passed away on May 10, 2011. He was born in Mercer County, KY, to the late Ivan and Effie Taylor. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Wesley was a member of Tea Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514, Johnson County Shrine, Murat Shrine and the Scottish Rite. He was a 62 year member of the IBEW Local 481 and business manager for almost 25 years; he also served as Chairman of the International Executive Council in Wash. DC for 12 years. Wesley was instrumental in starting the tradition of the largest Christmas tree, "Circle of Lights". Wesley is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Taylor; son, Wes Taylor (Denice); daughters Sheila Roberts (Phil), Priscella Rund (Gene); grandchildren Patrick Roberts (Shannon), Heather Glover (Dennis); great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Gabriel Glover. The family wants to thank Greenwood Health & Living for their care and concern. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 4 to 8 p.m. in Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, IN. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 19, 11 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
