Obituary

Haak, Wilhelm "Willie", age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Lebanon, Indiana on January 22,
2022. Willie was born October 6, 1934, to Johann and Olga (Patz) Haak in Nemarschton, Lithuania.

At age 22 he and his family left Germany to come to America. He served in the United States Army, was a
skilled machinest and welder, retiring from Continental Baking, Hostess (Wonder Bread) after 30 years.
He loved to talk about his German heritage, his career at Wonder Bread, but most of all he loved to
dance. Willie was a member of the Indianapolis Liederkranz and the Moose Lodge 500 of Speedway,
Indiana.

In 1962 he married Anna Mae (Billingsley) Haak. They had four children, Wilhelm Haak, Jr.,
Michael Haak, Maria Haak and Monica (Haak) Houk. Willie is survived by his children, Micheal (Cathy)
Haak and Monica (Boomer) Houk, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gloria, significant
other, Mary Jane Jackson and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna, son Wilhelm and daughter Maria. The last 12+ years of his life he shared with his significant other, Mary
Jane. Willie sincerely loved her and deeply enjoyed her company and the hospitality of her beloved
family. Willie will be remembered for his fiery personality, colorful language, hard work and wit.
