IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Mckinley
Blankenship
June 24, 1958 – September 14, 2025
William (Bill) Blankenship, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and
friend, passed away peacefully on 9/14/2025 at the age of 67.
Born on 6.24.1958 in Marion Country, William (Bill) lived a life fueled by passion, family, and
the simple joys of working with his hands. He was happiest when riding his motorcycle
down an open road or spending hours in his garage rebuilding bikes and fixing just about
anything that needed a second life. His love of motorcycles wasn't just a hobby—it was
part of who he was, a reflection of his independence, determination, and adventurous
spirit.
Beyond his love of bikes, William (Bill) was known in his community as an asphalt legend
a man who worked hard, left his mark, and was respected by everyone who knew the
strength of his hands and the pride he took in his craft.
William (Bill) shared his life with his beloved wife, Linda Poole Blankenship, and together
they raised a family that was his greatest pride. He is survived by his children: Melinda
(Eric), Christina , William (Krystill) , Kyle (Starla), and Leslie (Kevin). His grandchildren
and great grandchild brought him endless joy, and he cherished the time he spent with
them. William (Bill) is also survived by his siblings: Belinda, Joyce, Doris, and Brian, with
whom he shared lifelong bonds and memories.
Those who know William (Bill) will remember his laughter, his stories from the garage, and
the way he could bring people together. Whether on the road with friends, at home with
family, or tinkering in the garage, he lived life fully and with all his heart.
A celebration of William's (Bill's) life will be determined later.
William's (Bill's) legacy lives on through the family he built, the friendships he cherished,
and the countless rides and projects that kept his adventurous spirit alive.
