William "Bill" Droeger, 91, of Greenwood passed away peacefully on September 14, 2022. He was born to the late George Droeger and Hattie Richards.

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years Barbara Droeger; children Shelley (Droeger) Austrew (David), Michael (Laura) Droeger and James Droeger; step children Harold (Jennifer) Rodgers, Donald (Judy) Carpenter and Carin Henderson; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents and a brother Edward Droeger.

Bill was a proud Marine and fought in the Korean War. He was a purple heart recipient. He was a member of the VFW 1120 and the 1st Marine Corp Division.
Bill loved to be out on the boat and working on cars. His biggest joy was spending time with family.


A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 22 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. There will be a short visitation beginning at Noon. Bill will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens  with full military honors
