William Ray Jones, age 73, of Cadiz, KY, passed away February 29, 2012 at ManorCare Prestwick in Avon. Ray was born August 27, 1938 in Franklin, KY to Clifton and Bertha (Davenport) Jones. He was a machinist at Thomas L. Green Machine Shop for 39 years. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, watching football and he was a huge fan of John Deere tractors.
Ray married the former Anita Dawson on December 18, 1957 in Indianapolis and she survives him along with sons, Rick (Tilena) Jones, Kevin (Amy) Jones and Chuck (Alisha) Jones; daughters, Cindy Knose, and Lisa (Troy) Crady; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene, 10951 E. Co. Rd. 100 S., Indianapolis, 46231, with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood at 12:30 PM.Visitation will be at the church Friday, March 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
