William Russell, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away June 26, 2007. William was born April 1, 1918, in Clinchport, Virginia to Robert and Ettie Russell. He married Janet (Dalton) Russell, in 1944 in Pineville, Kentucky. William was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Army. Mr. Russell worked for Kentucky Amature from 1943-1960. He moved his family to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1960 where he worked for and retired from General Electric Armature/Motor Winding Division from 1960-1980. He attended Thompson Road Baptist Church. William was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, James, Thomas, Albert, and Eugene; and his sisters Lillian and Lucile. He is survived by his wife, Janet Russell; children, Barbara Robinson, Bobby Russell, and Helen Templeton; and Sister Bonnie Cline. William had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday June 28, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, services will be Friday June 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Senior Pastor, Kenith E. Grove, D.D. and Rev. Chris Robinson will be officiating.
